Youth Outreach
STEPdc is collaborating with other ministries to build an outreach to youth, continuing the work that we do with elementary students in ParkView and Park Morton. We recognize the fact that when our children leave elementary school, they move into the world of adolescence, where negative peer pressure increases, often resulting in pregnancy, substance abuse and violence. The cost of these choices is life changing if not life threatening and many of our youth are without meaningful support or encouragement at this critical point in their lives.
They need spiritual strengthening to grow in the knowledge and love
of Christ and to find daily relevance in their faith; educational strengthening
to motivate them to find joy in learning and to equip them to finish
school and a strong relationship with a mature adult for encouragement
during these challenging years.
