In the ParkView and Park Morton communities since 1992, STEPdc has been committed to putting into action the love that Jesus Christ demonstrated for the needy.

STEPdc believes that all children need committed caring adult relationships to support their growth and development and to help them realize their full potential. STEPdc also stresses affirmation through faith in Jesus Christ and a firm educational foundation. We embrace the children and youth in the ParkView and Park Morton communities by providing mentor relationships in a variety of extra-curricular programs that enable them to broaden their horizons, rise above circumstances and make positive life decisions. The mission of STEPdc is to break the debilitating spiral of poverty, drugs and violence in Washington, DC and replace it with hope, self-esteem and self-sufficiency.
